Giggle.

Because apparently I still get a preteen-like thrill out of drawing other people's characters.  Here's some more of it.  I loved this Opinions page assignment, so it's getting its own post.

"Animated movies make come back [sic] in adulthood"
Um, unfortunately they don't include my graphical contributions on the website version.
Ingrates.  But the layout that went to print is visible on the website.  2/28/2011.

It's not perfect, but I had a deadline on Sunday afternoon...Originally I had hoped to include Tangled's Rapunzel as well, but that didn't end up happening.

Kitties

Did this portrait of our cats about a year ago.  Ink & watercolor.  Shadow (M), above, belongs to my boyfriend.  Dar (F), below, is mine.  She was not yet fully grown at the time.

Daily Illini: Opinions Page

I illustrate several times weekly for Opinions Page columns in the Daily Illini.  The intent is to be eye-catching and complement the content of the columns.  So -- whatever they write, I'm at least partly at their mercy, and that's how it works.

I intend to get all of these up here eventually, but for now, here's a convenient link to the album I've been keeping over there on everyone's favorite Book of Faces.

Click here and I'll try and get the angry Big Bird to link when I feel like wrestling with technology again

Marco and Marty guest comic

This is my guest comic (2/22 in the Daily Illini) for the highly-recommended Marco and Marty by Billy Fore (who was also kind enough to give me the final kick I needed in order to stake out my own tiny space in the artblogosphere).
Tah-dah!  1/1634086th of a dream come true...a comic strip published for one day in a college newspaper. :]

What I did today (AKA "Placeholder" First Post)

Because it was for a TOP SECRET roundtable conference, I cannot reveal the full deliverable of my first success with InDesign yaay.  So the Snoopy drawing (not actually out of context -- long story) that I did for the poster will have to stand alone.  Bonus points if you know what it is that he is drafting.
